Cleaning up from the inside – Healthy eating with medicinal dishes for beautiful skin
Elly, a Pilates instructor living in Ho Chi Minh City, is sharing her experiences of beauty in all its forms—from the beauty of the mind and body—in this report. In addition to being delicious, she also reports on Japanese medicinal diet restaurants that are good for health and beauty.
At YAKUZEN (medicinal cuisine) in Ward 3 of Ho Chi Minh City, under the cooperation of the pharmaceutical company Lotte Pharmaceutical, a Japanese chef and an international medicinal cuisine expert/nutritionist are overseeing the menu, offering dishes and teas based on Japanese medicinal cuisine that can help improve both body and mind. The spicy and flavorful specialty soup in the medicinal cuisine pot is made with ingredients such as pepper, cloves, and ginger, which gently warm the body from within and is refreshing enough to make you want to finish it all. It is also said to be good for beauty, so it’s a great thing.

The "medicinal fish and meat stew" (350,000 VND for two people) allows you to eat plenty of vegetables that are often lacking in Vietnamese diets. It also includes plenty of seafood, and you can also choose to use beef or pork instead. It uses organic vegetables from Darlat, and the vegetables themselves have a rich flavor that surprised me.

We use no chemical seasonings at all and only use abundant natural spices and herbs to make medicinal soup and tea. We also use as little refined sugar as possible to bring out the natural sweetness and flavor of the ingredients, which is also appealing because it is gentle on the body.

After meals or during afternoon tea, my favorite is the "Yakuzen Tea" (14,000 VND), which contains ingredients such as goji berries, saw palmetto, and okra seeds. It is rich in vitamins and minerals, and it is also said to help restore energy and prevent aging.
