On Sunday, March 1, 2026, shortly after Tet holiday ended, a music event was held at Polygon Misik in Hanoi. The organizer, the Hanai Theaki Music Band, is a music club centered on Japanese people. Since its founding in 2007, it has continuously held three to four events a year, contributing significantly to the formation of a community of music enthusiasts in Hanoi.
Starting the event, ’Hanoi-Standard” captivated the audience with its upbeat beat and the dance of the three-member idol group “HNS3,” while “X HANOI” featured a sharp guitar riff and the overwhelming presence of powerful vocals, the nostalgic and heartwarming song “SEO BAND,” the challenging song “OASOBI,” the metal rock that rocked the venue, “RUMBLE,” and the “HANOI ANISON Research Group,” which immersed the audience in the wave of anisong with their glamorous cosplay costumes, and “ERO-WRAPPIN’” that showcased a mellow and elegant song, and the diverse genres were represented by “NirVietna,” which took the audience on a wild ride into 90s grunge with a three-piece band.
Finally, "Hanoi de Ska y?" featuring the rhythm of Ska and the horn section transformed the venue into a dance hall, and it was a packed event that was filled with warm enthusiasm throughout.
This space where we can share music across genres and generations once again reinforced the power of the community that thrives in Hanoi. The next event is scheduled to take place around June. If you want to play music in Hanoi, please contact us via direct message!
