At the Bachan Ceramic Village, a traditional craft village located near Hanoi, an event organized by Campus Hanoi will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2026. Bachan Ceramic Village is known as the leading ceramic production center in Vietnam with a history of over 700 years. It is now a popular tourist destination with many workshops and shops still operating today. Not only is the traditional ceramic technology being passed down, but in recent years, many tourists from both within and outside Vietnam have visited the village, making it a spot where they can experience Vietnamese culture up close.
On the day of the event, participants will split into groups to explore the village and deepen their connections while experiencing the historic townscape and pottery culture. The walk also offers opportunities to enjoy conversations in both Japanese and Vietnamese, allowing participants to truly use the languages to deepen their understanding of each other’s cultures and lifestyles.
After the tour, there is also time for participants to interact with each other at a cafe. One of the features of this event is that you can enjoy the encounters with other people and the unique atmosphere of the local area that you cannot get from just touring the tourist attractions. This will be a place where Japanese and Vietnamese people can deepen their friendship through natural interaction.
