"This spot might never go away."
The editor M from our office had been bothered by the dark spots on her cheeks. She had been struggling to improve them, but when she visited the skin clinic in Hanoi, the deciding factor was the owner, Mr. Chan, herself with beautiful skin.
The reassuring sense of being able to consult with a Japanese doctor, a consultation by a dermatologist, and a private space in a completely private room. I will report on the clinic’s appeal from my own experience.
The moment the door opened, I couldn’t help but exclaim, “Beautiful…” The interior, with its white tones, is clean down to the last detail and has a bright, calming atmosphere. Putting on slippers and sitting in the waiting area immediately relaxed my nerves. Even for first-time visitors to a beauty clinic, I felt that it was a space where you could spend time with peace of mind.
Step 1: Since it's Japanese, the initial anxiety disappeared.
First, I fill out a counseling sheet written in Japanese. Since I can communicate my skin concerns and any concerns I have in Japanese, I felt I could consult with the local clinic without any worries.
Step 2: I could see everything, even the hidden blemishes I didn't want to see.
The counseling takes place in a private, fully-equipped room. The person who provided the service was a dermatologist and the owner, Chan. First, they used a skin analyzer to check the current condition of the skin. The specialized skin imaging machine then visualizes the data, revealing the skin’s conditions that are usually invisible to the naked eye.
Even my cheek wrinkles that I had been noticing were clearly displayed on the diagnostic screen, allowing me to objectively check my own skin condition. That was the moment when "just feeling concerned" turned into "wanting to improve this area."
Step3 : Experience the first step in skin care
What I experienced this time was a peeling treatment proposed as the first step in skin care. Using a special agent, it gently removes old skin cells, stimulating the skin’s natural renewal process.
I felt a tingling sensation during the treatment, but there was little discomfort. Since it was a completely private room, I could relax and receive the treatment without worrying about what was happening around me.
After the treatment, I felt my skin was noticeably clearer and more toned, and my expectations for future changes increased.
Step4 : I thought, "I want to keep going here."
There was a tingling sensation for a few days after the treatment, but thanks to the information I had received beforehand, I was able to spend the time without any worries. After that, the old dead skin flakes off naturally, and I felt that my skin's texture became smoother.
About a month later, I experienced my second peel. By doing the treatment more often, my skin’s overall condition improved, and I started to see gradual changes in the spots I was worried about. I now enjoy looking in the mirror more than before.
What was most impressive was the sense of reassurance that came from the consistent support throughout the counseling and treatment process. Aside from being able to consult in Japanese, the advice based on Chan’s own experience was also convincing. It gave me the expectation that I could see how much I would change in my next treatment.
