Mr. Asoki Morikawa (Ajiki Morikazu), representative of FIELD GOLF, will introduce various aspects of golf courses and the golf situation in Vietnam.

Currently, there are 80 to 100 golf courses in Vietnam (sometimes counting 2 courses when there are 36). This time, we will introduce BRG Legend Hill Golf Club in Hanoi.
It is a golf course with excellent access, about 30 minutes by car from the center of Hanoi. It is a course designed and supervised by Jack Nicklaus, and it is a 18-hole course with two green areas, which is rare for Vietnam. Additionally, it is a very popular golf course because you can ride a cart on the fairways.
The green fees are higher than those at other golf courses, usually costing around 3.7 million VND on weekdays and 5.3 million VND on weekends. Compared to other golf courses, that’s about 1 million to 1.5 million VND more expensive. Because of this, it’s probably the best course for people who want to play without worrying about the crowds on weekdays. I’ve played here many times and it’s very well maintained; the fairways and bunkers are in good condition, and the greens are especially impeccable.
Overall, the course is flat and the fairways have little alignment, but there are also many holes with many ponds and tee shots that put pressure on the player. There are several holes in particular that are difficult for draw hitters to attack.
The caddies are well-trained and can read the course well. There seem to be many bright and cheerful caddies who are able to move quickly. The clubhouse is also luxurious and elegant, like a palace. The golf shop inside the clubhouse is very spacious and well-stocked, which surprised me. The locker rooms, shower booths, and restaurant are also luxurious and elegant.
Golf courses in Vietnam generally have firm greens with slow speeds; however, at BRG Legend Hill Golf Club, the greens are well-drilled and spin fast. If you have the opportunity, please try playing on one of these greens at least once.
