Kim Lien, located in Nghe An province in central-north Vietnam, is known as the region where Chairman Ho Chi Minh (aka Uncle Ho) lived and where historical sites remain. Approximately 300 km south of Hanoi, by bus it takes about 5 to 6 hours. In the scenery of a simple village, the memories of modern Vietnam quietly breathe.

The first place to visit in Kim Lien is "Chairman Ho Chi Minh's Birthplace (Nha cu Hoang Xuan Duong)". This modest wooden house with thatched roofs conveys the environment where Uncle Ho, born in 1890, spent his childhood.
The interior of the ancestral home has been recreated, and exhibits include beds, weaving looms, tableware, and other everyday items that were used at the time. In a quiet space, visitors are naturally drawn in and can imagine the life of that era.
At the Kim Lien Museum, materials related to Ho’s life and ideology are systematically displayed. Through photographs, personal belongings, and documents from the time, visitors can follow his journey from childhood to youth and then as a politician. Furthermore, the museum introduces the history and cultural background of the Gien region. This structure not only provides an understanding of the person but also of the land that nurtured him. In a serene exhibition space, visitors can immerse themselves in Ho’s life and the history of modern Vietnam.
By touring the ancestral home and museum, you can quietly experience Ho Uncle's life and the history of Vietnam along with the rustic atmosphere of Kim Lien.
